Radtke And Associates, Inc. operates with Topcon Geodetic Receivers and Robotic Total Station survey equipment which is the latest in technology. With this equipment, we can rapidly locate section corners, collect topographic features and layout new projects. The satellite network consists of both the US GPS network and the Russian GLONASS networks. These two networks have combined capability of 8 to 18 satellites and provide accuracy of 0.01 foot.
In the summer, the tree canopies become very dense and many times a satellite signal cannot be found. In this case, we utilize our Robotic Total Station system. Robotics tracks our surveyor and locates information very rapidly and accurately. Each instrument operates with a one man survey crew which is very cost effective for our clients. Once the survey information has been obtained from our GPS or Robotics, it is downloaded directly into one of our AutoCAD stations. Utilizing this technology, our designers have the opportunity to quickly start the design knowing that the field work is accurate.
