Roofing Evaluations
As a building becomes older, there comes a point where the life of a roof needs to be evaluated. Radtke And Associates, Inc. utilizes equipment to locate wet areas and potential leaks. A life expectancy of the roofing system is determined and if repair or replacement is necessary, Radtke And Associates, Inc. prepares plans and specifications so that bids can be received. During construction, we provide a staff person to check if the contractor is constructing the roof properly.
Roof Survey
Suring School District, Wisconsin
The Suring School District requested Radtke And Associates, Inc to evauluate the existing roof at thier K-12 Facility. The survey was completed on the roof in the early evening. The results where seen immediately and are shown in the pictures below. Picture 1 shows a uniform temperature indicating no damage. Picture 2 is showing water infiltration along a repair seam on the existing roof.
Infrared Roof Investigation Surveys
As part of the firm's specialized school facility enhancement program, a unique, infrared, thermal imaging camera is used to conduct roof surveys and identify potential roof repair needs before they become major problems and a large expense to fix. Water leakage is the number one factor that leads to damaged insulation, corrosion, weakening of metal decks and building structure, and the growth of mold.
The camera instantly shows where the roof is wet and where it's dry with no physical disturbance of the premises. Repairs can be completed immediately saving the client significant time and expense. If major repairs or replacement is needed, Radtke And Associates, Inc. can design, bid, and be involved in the construction process.
